Iraq's foreign minister says US requested closure of all but two border crossings with Iran

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said the US Treasury had requested that Iraq close all but two land border crossings into Iran as part of its economic pressure policy against Tehran. In an Al Jazeera interview, he said one of the exempted crossings leads to Kurdistan. Iraq's Al-Sheeb crossing has already been closed under government orders, halting passenger traffic and commercial freight.
