Ocean economy generated $3.5 trillion in value added in 2025, OECD says
The OECD said the ocean economy generated $3.5 trillion in value added in 2025, an increase of 132% since 1995. Tourism and offshore energy are now its largest contributors, the organization said in a post highlighting its Ocean Economy at a Glance 2026 publication.
