Tehran refinery attributes heavy smoke to technical faults and emergency gas venting, denies fire
Tehran Oil Refining Company said heavy smoke observed at its refinery resulted from technical and electrical problems and emergency gas venting under safety protocols. The company said no fire had occurred in the refinery units and continuous fuel production had not been disrupted.
