Germany's BfV says supermarket refrigeration cyberattacks are under investigation

Germany's domestic intelligence service BfV says cyberattacks on supermarket refrigeration systems are under active intelligence investigation, including by a joint centre with foreign and military intelligence services. The attacks heated freezers to 50°C and spoiled food in hundreds of European stores, including stores in three German states. The BfV says attackers exploited known flaws in cooling-system controllers.
