Tavanir chief says about 300,000 illegal cryptocurrency-mining machines have been seized
Tavanir chief Elahdad said authorities have discovered and removed about 300,000 cryptocurrency-mining machines in cooperation with police, economic security police and judicial bodies. He said illegal cryptocurrency mining places a load exceeding 2,000 megawatts on the national electricity grid, and credited the seizures with preventing 2,000 megawatts of unauthorized consumption.
