SM Entertainment discloses personal data breach affecting employees and affiliates
SM Entertainment disclosed that an external attacker accessed internal business systems and leaked documents containing personal data, including employee resident registration and bank account numbers. The company said the breach occurred around November 4; affiliates DearU and Dream Maker Entertainment experienced similar leaks. SM apologized, said it had blocked the attack routes and was investigating with authorities, and said no cases of misuse of the leaked data had been confirmed so far.
