Iran notifies customs of 4.5 million-tonne duty-free grain import quota from Eurasian bloc
Iran's customs offices have been notified of a 2026 duty-free import quota for 3 million tonnes of wheat and 1.5 million tonnes of barley from Eurasian Economic Union members under free-trade agreements. The wheat allocation comprises 2.25 million tonnes from Russia, 700,000 tonnes from Kazakhstan and 50,000 tonnes from Belarus. The exemption applies at all customs offices, subject to Eurasian origin and order-registration priority.
