Seoul introduces rewards for districts and associations to speed housing renewal projects

Seoul announced a performance-based evaluation and rewards program to accelerate housing renewal projects toward its target of starting construction on 310,000 homes by 2031. The city will select five of its 25 districts and 10 exemplary project associations for recognition. Permitting speed accounts for 60 of 100 basic evaluation points for districts, with winners receiving incentives including preferential access to renewal-project subsidies in 2027.
