Takaichi outlines Kagawa industrial-cluster plan for shipbuilding and construction machinery
Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi outlined Kagawa Prefecture’s industrial-cluster plan for shipbuilding, construction machinery and related steel structures. The plan aims to strengthen production in coordination with the Setouchi region’s next-generation shipbuilding initiative. It envisages using national support to encourage public-private investment in factories, equipment and infrastructure, develop technical and digital skills, and digitize manufacturing processes to improve competitiveness and expand exports and domestic market share.
