South Korea weighs extending label-free bottled-water rules to imports
South Korea’s climate ministry has consulted bottled-water importers and is reportedly reviewing whether to extend mandatory label-free packaging to imported products. The ministry said the discussions were routine and no decision had been made to impose the requirement on imports. Domestically manufactured bottled water has been subject to a ban on attached labels since January 1, 2026.
