Mohammad Javad Larijani calls for temporary suspension of NPT commitments
Mohammad Javad Larijani called on parliament to temporarily suspend implementation of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty commitments, arguing that continued membership, rather than uranium enrichment, should be the subject of bargaining. He urged serious discussions with the nuclear agency about the benefits of membership and said it should guarantee support, otherwise there would be no reason to remain in the treaty.
