Telecom official links recent internet disruptions to bandwidth changes, security updates and weather
A telecommunications company’s deputy for communications said international bandwidth changes, security-system updates, rain and storms were contributing factors in recent internet disruptions. The official said bandwidth changes could be partly unintended and partly deliberate, and that adverse weather can damage wired and wireless communications networks.
