U.S. Central Command announces task force targeting Iranian land and Caspian Sea supply routes
U.S. Central Command announced the formation of an approximately 20-person “Iron Gate” task force based in Tampa, Florida. The team is tasked with coordinating with other U.S. government agencies to block advanced weapons, dual-use technology, sanctioned goods and illicit revenue from moving through Iran’s land borders and the Caspian Sea.
