Germany expects decision on new fighter jet partnership by March 2027
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expects a decision by the end of March 2027 on a new partnership to develop a next-generation fighter jet. He said Germany is discussing participation in the British-Italian-Japanese Global Combat Air Program. An alternative would be an Airbus project with other European partners targeting the early 2040s.
