US military sets up task force to restrict Iranian weapons and sanctioned trade
The US military is setting up Task Force Iron Gate to restrict Iran’s movement of advanced weapons and other sanctioned material across its land borders and the Caspian Sea, a pre-release Central Command statement says. The task force will be based in Tampa, Florida, coordinate with other US government agencies, and also focus on dual-use and illegal revenue streams. Central Command plans to announce it later on Saturday.
