Qatar's prime minister says efforts to prevent renewed regional escalation remain ongoing
Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani said at the Oxford Union that diplomatic efforts to contain regional tensions remain ongoing. He said a Qatari delegation visited Tehran five times in one week, with some meetings lasting 18 to 20 hours, to avert renewed confrontation. He cautioned that the efforts had not eliminated risks and called for dialogue between Gulf states and Iran to address their respective security concerns.
