Qatar’s prime minister says diplomatic efforts continue to prevent renewed regional escalation
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said Qatar would continue contacts with all parties to prevent renewed regional escalation. Speaking at the Oxford Union in the United Kingdom, he said a Qatari delegation had visited Tehran five times in one week, with some meetings lasting 18 or 20 hours. He cautioned that risks remained and called for dialogue between Gulf states and Iran to address mutual security concerns.
