Agriculture and construction leaders criticize Stephen Miller’s promotion
Representatives of agriculture and construction groups criticized President Donald Trump’s promotion of Stephen Miller to White House chief of staff, effective Monday. PennAg Industries Association president Chris Herr said some farmers were losing workers to immigration enforcement, while South Texas Builders Association executive director Mario Guerrero expressed dismay at Miller’s expanded role. Kansas Livestock Association chief executive Matt Teagarden said the appointment might reduce the prospects for Trump to sign immigration legislation.
