Senator Heinrich seeks details on public-land data center proposals

Senator Martin Heinrich asked the Bureau of Land Management for information on proposed data center development on public lands. In a letter, he said the agency was considering at least 15 proposals covering more than 17,000 acres across six Western states, and requested details on legal authorities, proposals and potential sites. An Interior Department spokesperson said applications follow established environmental review and public-input procedures.
