Klaas Knot and Pablo Hernández de Cos nominated for next ECB presidency
The Eurogroup announced that the Netherlands and Spain had nominated former central bank governors Klaas Knot and Pablo Hernández de Cos, respectively, for the next European Central Bank presidency. Eurogroup President Kyriakos Pierrakakis said ministers would review the two candidates on November 9. An EU official said the aim was to reach agreement at the December 17–18 summit of EU leaders.
