Congo urges US to turn minerals partnership into concrete investments
Democratic Republic of Congo urged the United States to deliver concrete investments under their strategic minerals partnership, with Economy Minister Daniel Mukoko Samba saying success should be measured by completed projects rather than signed deals. In a post following a joint steering committee meeting in Paris, he said the two sides reviewed priority projects including the Lobito Corridor, Grand Inga hydropower and efforts to channel more Congolese copper and cobalt to the US market.
