Congo urges US to turn minerals partnership agreements into completed projects
Democratic Republic of Congo Economy Minister Daniel Mukoko Samba called on the United States to deliver concrete investments under their strategic minerals partnership, saying success should be measured by completed projects rather than signed agreements. In a post following the partnership steering committee’s second meeting in Paris, he said the sides reviewed priorities including the Lobito Corridor, Grand Inga hydropower project and efforts to channel more Congolese copper and cobalt to the US market.
