Hakeem Jeffries calls for Hegseth's removal but stops short of backing impeachment
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to leave office but stopped short of endorsing impeachment. Asked directly about impeachment in a Friday interview, Jeffries said he did not want to get ahead of the Democratic caucus, adding, "He's got to go."
