Bic Camera discloses leak of 15.2 million customer records
Bic Camera announced on November 6 that 15,204,757 customer records, including those of subsidiaries Kojima and Sofmap, had leaked following unauthorized access to email delivery contractor Arara’s system. Bic Camera alone accounted for 14,218,934 records, involving data including email addresses, names, birth dates and loyalty card numbers. The company said credit card details, security codes, phone numbers, addresses and online store login passwords were not held in the affected system and were not included in the leak.
