Firefly Aerospace signs engine and technology deal worth more than $1.3 billion with AST SpaceMobile
Firefly Aerospace and AST SpaceMobile announced a three-year agreement worth more than $1.3 billion covering rocket engines, a manufacturing license and engineering support. Firefly will supply 36 engines for AST SpaceMobile’s first three rockets as AST develops its own heavy-lift launch vehicle. AST will pay with cash and common shares subject to lock-up periods; the companies did not disclose the cash-and-stock breakdown.
