European Commission preliminarily finds TikTok’s ‘For You’ feed has harmful design
The European Commission said its preliminary findings indicate that TikTok’s ‘For You’ feed has a harmful design, exposing users endlessly and repeatedly to personalised videos even when they negatively affect mental health. It said TikTok’s measures to mitigate this risk are insufficiently effective and called for readjustment.
