London Tube drivers plan eight days of strikes over proposed four-day week

Some London Underground drivers plan eight days of strikes starting later in November, the RMT union said, opposing Transport for London’s proposal to let drivers volunteer for a four-day week. The union said the plan would pave the way for hundreds of job cuts and undermine working protections. TfL has previously said the changes would improve reliability. Aslef drivers, who agreed to the proposals, will not join the strikes.
