Pakistan to shift Asaan Assignment Account payments from cheques to Raast
Pakistan's government says cheque payments from Asaan Assignment Accounts will end from November 15, 2026, with all payments from those accounts nationwide moving to the Raast digital system from November 16. A briefing at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said drawing and disbursing officers had been trained for the transition. Sharif directed all ministries and government institutions to ensure full implementation of the cashless economy plan.
