Spain mandates stockpiling of about 12% of new olive crop
Spain is mandating compulsory stockpiling of about 12% of its new olive crop in an effort to support prices received by farmers. Wholesale Spanish olive oil prices have fallen to a 5½-year low. The harvest runs from November to February.
