Eurozone retail sales fell 0.7% in September, missing expectations
Eurostat announced on Friday that eurozone retail sales volumes fell 0.7% month on month in September, the largest decline since June 2024. Economists surveyed had expected no change, following a 0.4% increase in August. A sharp fall in German sales weighed on the eurozone total.
