ECB and resolution board chiefs urge EU banking reforms to preserve resilience
European Central Bank supervisory chief Claudia Buch and Single Resolution Board Chair Dominique Laboureix published recommendations for EU banking-rule reforms, saying simplification must preserve resilience and internationally agreed standards. They called for a common European deposit-insurance framework, freer capital and liquidity flows within banking groups, and stronger arrangements for liquidity during and immediately after bank resolution.
