Valor opens first Tokyo supermarket, highlighting 98-yen bakery bread
Valor Holdings opened its first Tokyo supermarket on November 6, with 200 people lining up early outside the Honhaneda store in Ota. The retailer is highlighting bread baked in-store and priced at 98 yen to attract nearby and more distant shoppers as it expands into Kanto beyond its Chubu base. It has also introduced an internal certification system for bakers to strengthen its bakery operations.
