Jeonbuk environmental group urges action over discolored tap-water filters

The Jeonbuk Federation for Environmental Movements called for stronger water management on November 6 after complaints about discolored tap-water filters spread across four municipalities supplied by Yongdam Dam. The group criticized authorities’ response and demanded disclosure of water-test results and an integrated information-sharing system. Korea Water Resources Corporation and Jeonju city raised the possibility that drought and mixing between water layers had allowed manganese from deeper water to enter the supply.
