Singapore Airlines plans more than S$2 billion cabin overhaul with first-class sofas

Singapore Airlines plans to spend more than S$2 billion ($1.6 billion) refurbishing its long-haul cabins, expanding premium seating and adding a first-class sofa that converts into a double bed. The new cabins are planned for 41 Airbus A350s and 31 yet-to-be-delivered Boeing 777-9s. Planned costs are nearly double the initial spending plan outlined two years ago, with the first refurbished aircraft now expected in the second half of 2027.
