Hankook Tire posts 2.2% rise in third-quarter operating profit as tire revenue hits record
Hankook Tire & Technology disclosed preliminary third-quarter consolidated operating profit of 598.8 billion won, up 2.2% year over year. Revenue rose 1% to 5.465 trillion won, while net income fell 59.5% to 157.9 billion won. Tire-segment revenue increased 3.7% to a quarterly record of 2.8083 trillion won, although the segment’s operating profit declined 2.6% to 505.9 billion won.
