Kansai business federation chairman Matsumoto seeks sixth term
Masayoshi Matsumoto, chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation, said he intends to remain in office after his current term ends in May 2027, following a request from all 17 vice chairmen. The proposed sixth term would run through May 2029, with continued work on national policy recommendations and preserving the Osaka-Kansai Expo's legacy. His reappointment is to be formally decided by the board after the general meeting planned for May 2027.
