Mazda completes Hiroshima parts export hub with fivefold handling capacity

Mazda held a completion ceremony on November 6 for its new KD Center in Hiroshima, a parts export hub scheduled to begin operating in January 2027. The facility accommodates larger vessels and uses automation, including 82 automated guided vehicles, to raise handling capacity to five times the previous level. Mazda plans to halve on-site staffing from about 200 people.
