Seven & i raises growth investment plan to ¥3.5 trillion–over ¥4 trillion, expands debt use

Seven & i Holdings announced an increase in planned growth and strategic investment for fiscal years ending February 2026 through February 2031 to ¥3.5 trillion–more than ¥4 trillion, from ¥3.2 trillion. The updated capital-allocation plan prioritizes its North American convenience-store subsidiary, Seven-Eleven Inc., and increases reliance on debt financing. The company said it may temporarily accept a credit-rating downgrade for major investments, while maintaining its ¥2.8 trillion shareholder-return plan.
