St. Louis Fed says Red Sea rerouting affected shipping utilization
The St. Louis Fed says a measure based on satellite vessel-tracking data shows that Red Sea-related disruption affected shipping utilization on routes to the U.S. East Coast. According to the post, attacks starting in late 2023 led ships arriving from Asia and the Middle East to reroute around the Cape of Good Hope.
