Indian jewelry store traffic and purchase conversion improve, Crisil observations show
Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing rating agency Crisil, that Indian jewelry stores saw increased footfall and a rising share of visitors making purchases in the October–December quarter. Crisil’s analysis covered 76 organized retailers representing about one-third of Indian jewelry industry revenue. The observations signal improvement in chain retail activity but do not establish growth in nationwide physical gold purchases.
