YMTC targets up to 70% domestic equipment for planned Wuhan factory, sources say
China's Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) aims to source at least 60% of equipment for its planned fourth factory in Wuhan domestically, with an ambition to reach 70%, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. The plant is expected to produce NAND chips with more than 300 memory-cell layers. Construction is expected to begin next year, but supplier discussions remain preliminary and no formal orders have been placed.
