Japan crude-oil futures extend gains, with April contract up ¥2,520
Crude-oil futures extended gains in Japan’s domestic commodity futures market on November 6. At 11:30 a.m., the benchmark April 2027 contract stood at ¥86,500 per kilolitre, up ¥2,520 from the previous settlement. Nikkei attributed continued buying to persistent energy-supply concerns, including attacks on vessels in Middle Eastern straits, and position-adjustment buying after the previous day’s sharp decline.
