Financial regulators extend data-leak response through December
Financial regulators have extended a special response period for financial-sector personal-data leaks through the end of December after additional incidents were confirmed. The Financial Services Commission said on November 6 that no customer-fund losses linked to voice phishing, smishing or similar fraud related to the recent leaks had been reported so far. Financial firms will continue preventive measures, while regulators will monitor implementation and maintain the existing consumer caution alert.
