Gunpo announces Solar League ministerial award for noise-barrier tunnel solar project
Gunpo city said on November 6 that it had received a ministerial award in the policy achievements category of the eighth Korea Solar League for its urban noise-barrier tunnel solar project. The city installed 1,329 kW of solar capacity above the Daeya and Samsung underpass tunnels. It secured 8.6 billion won in provincial and private funding, reducing its municipal funding burden for replacing Daeya's noise-barrier panels from 5 billion to 2.8 billion won.
