Taebaek seeks national road plan inclusion for 43.8 billion won bypass
Taebaek said it is consulting relevant agencies to secure inclusion of a proposed Dongjeom–Tongdong bypass in the 2026–2030 national road construction plan. The approximately 5.5-kilometer, two-lane road would cost about 43.8 billion won. The city is pursuing the project to prepare for anticipated logistics demand from industries being developed to replace coal mining; inclusion in the plan has not yet been finalized.
