Jeonbuk announces planned 2.42 trillion won K-food export hub in Saemangeum

South Korea’s Jeonbuk provincial government said a planned K-food export hub was included in the approved revision to Saemangeum’s master plan. The proposal envisages spending 2.42 trillion won during 2027–2036, including 540 billion won in national funding, on cold-chain logistics and food-processing facilities. The province described it as the country’s first project to integrate agricultural production, processing, logistics and exports at one site.
