Copper falls to lowest since July amid US election and tariff concerns
Copper fell to its lowest level since July, Bloomberg reported, amid concerns that a Democratic sweep of Congress could weaken drivers tied to AI infrastructure and US import tariffs. Copper was down 0.4% at $13,786 a ton on the London Metal Exchange as of 9:23 a.m. in Shanghai. TD Securities said many traders believed aggressive copper tariffs were now less likely under Democratic control of Congress.
