Yen trims gains to 157.81–82 per dollar in Tokyo morning trading
The yen pared its gains in Tokyo on November 6, trading at 157.81–82 per dollar at 10 a.m., still 0.37 yen stronger than at 5 p.m. the previous day. Nikkei QUICK News reported that risk-averse yen buying continued amid falling Japanese and U.S. stocks, while apparent dollar demand from Japanese importers weighed on the yen. A domestic bank currency trader described dollar buying as dominant ahead of the morning fixing.
