South Korean brokerages say markets are overreacting to US data-center regulation risks
Yuanta Securities and Daishin Securities issued reports on November 6 arguing that markets were overreacting to concerns about weaker AI investment stemming from US data-center regulation. They said construction-delay risks had increased, but evidence of damage to existing supply contracts or semiconductor earnings remained insufficient. Yuanta cautioned that its assessment would need reconsideration if semiconductor companies’ earnings estimates for 2027–2028 were lowered.
