Watchdog says Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received up to £2,000 a month from Royal Lodge subletting

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received up to £2,000 a month from subletting three cottages at Royal Lodge while paying no rent himself, according to a Public Accounts Committee report. The committee could not establish his total income over more than 20 years because the properties were not always rented out. MPs recommended that future Crown Estate leases prohibit subletting unless specifically agreed with the landlord.
